Teens Weight Loss - Healthy Way For Teens To Lose Weight
Is Healthy Teens Weight Loss Possible?
Unfortunately, these days there is more and more a need for Teens Weight Loss. so many these days have to ask: "How To Lose Weight Teens?" Normally teens have a healthy appetite and there is nothing wrong with that.
The problem starts when they eat too much food with lots of unhealthy sugar, fat and carbs. A further problem is that those who struggle with weight want a quick solution to their problem. Most of these solutions are unhealthy and do not result in any permanent weight loss.

An example of a diet that does not provide all the essential nutrients is the vegetarian diet.
In principle there is not very much wrong with the vegetarian diet but, it needs very special care to ensure the teens are getting all the nutrition they need. It is not a good idea to remove all chicken, meat and fish from the diet as they contain valuable nutrients needed for healthy growth.
To attempt a healthy vegetarian diet, not only for teens but for everyone, it is best to get the advice of a trained nutritionist. Do not attempt it on your own the results can be disastrous!
Another danger is some of the herbal teas the teens drink in order to lose weight. Many of these products are similar to laxatives with all the health dangers going with that, dehydration for one. You really do not want your teen to go down that road as it can easily lead to the eating disorder Bulimia.
Unfortunately Teens Weight Loss is big business and many of the ads on TV promise fast results. Most of these diets and products are not safe for a teenager and any teen should steer completely clear of them.
Many of these focus on a diet fat too low calories to provide a teen with the necessary energy for a normal active day. A further problem is that a too low calorie intake slows the metabolism down which in turn makes weight loss even more difficult. Once again we're moving into the direction of a eating disorder namely Anorexia. A teen on a weight loss diet should be monitored very well.
Another problem that can develop because of a diet too low in calories is Binge Eating. This is where the person starves for a long period and then goes on a binge normally followed by purging. This is another form of Bulimia that is very dangerous and plays havoc with a teen's health.

What is safe teen's weight loss then?
Fortunately yes, a teen can lose weight steadily by following a well balanced calorie controlled diet with moderate exercise. In all honesty I would recommend that this be done under the guidance of a nutritionist specializing in teen's weight loss and eating disorders. Here prevention is better than cure. Playing with the health of a teen is just not worth it. Make sure of healthy and safe teen's weight loss. If you see that weight loss is too fast or that your teen is getting too thin, please take your teen to a doctor immediately, do not take the risk of an eating disorder ruining your teen's life!
